Jack closed his laptop and headed out the door to his next appointment, feeling at the top of his game, but with a small, annoying tickle in the back of his brain still whispering Sara’s name. Brushing a hand over his already rough jaw, he pondered his options. One thing was clear. It was time to act. He tamped down the urge to take the direct route, scoop her up for a nice long weekend of bonding at his house. No, she needed to realize that she wanted it first.
